Medical Technologist II:
Novel ImmunoAssay Program
-
Take tactical ownership and contribute hands-on to processing high volumes of samples for a new automated high-throughput immunoassay program at Nexus.
-
Within 30 days of start:
Complete all training activities
Accession, run, and result 100 samples/day in new automated ELISA processes in compliance with CLIA requirements, of which 90% are within SLA
Independently accession, run, and result at least one full plate's worth of samples/day in manual pipetting process, with CVs below 8%
Identify 90% of data errors during accessioning and note/clarify/correct as appropriate
Report all sample collection issues to QA Manager / General Supervisor before samples reach the testing stage, to ensure meets testing requirements
Consistently record and track assay QC and trends with 90% accuracy
Within 90 days of start:
Be able to run all assays in the CLIA lab in a given day
Without supervision / independently accession, run, and result more than 1000 samples/day in new automated ELISA processes in compliance with CLIA requirements, of which 90% are within SLA
Independently accession, run, and result more than 500 samples/day in manual pipetting process, with CVs under 5%
Identify 95% of data errors during accessioning and note/clarify/correct as appropriate
Report all sample collection issues to QA Manager / General Supervisor before samples reach the testing stage, to ensure meets testing requirements
Accurately and consistently record and track assay QC and trends
Self-identify when a plate is abnormal, aka a “false pass”
Consistently completes weekly inventory of assigned subset of supplies
Takes initiative to optimize process / suggest process improvements to the team
Trains new trainees that perform to match the highest performers in the team
